Selling to E.Leclerc: how to get listed

Updated:

In short

E.Leclerc is France's largest grocery retailer, with about a quarter of household FMCG spending. It is a movement of about 545 independent store owners in France. National brands are listed by the Galec buying cooperative, and the largest international suppliers negotiate through Eurelec in Brussels. Each of the 16 regional cooperatives can also deal directly with regional producers, and stores work with small local producers through "Alliances Locales".

How E.Leclerc buys

  • ACDLec sets the strategy and commercial policy and grants the banner (Mouvement E.Leclerc).
  • Galec is the national buying cooperative, organised by category (grocery, liquids, fresh, textiles). It handles listings, marketing and commercial development for the stores (Mouvement E.Leclerc).
  • 16 regional cooperatives (SCA) apply Galec's terms, can adjust them, and can negotiate directly with suppliers and regional producers (Mouvement E.Leclerc).
  • Scamark develops the own brands (Mouvement E.Leclerc).
  • Eurelec, a Brussels-based alliance with Rewe and Ahold Delhaize, negotiates with large international suppliers. France fined it €33.5 million in February 2026 for agreements with French suppliers not signed by 1 March 2025 (ECO, 16 Feb 2026).
  • Stores are independently owned. Department managers, for example in the butchery, choose their producers and place orders (Mouvement E.Leclerc).

Getting listed at E.Leclerc

  • No public supplier form: we did not find a "devenir fournisseur" page or form on E.Leclerc's sites. National brands go through Galec; regional products through the regional cooperative.
  • Local producers: "Alliances Locales" are contracts between a store and small producers of its region. More than 15,000 contracts are signed, covering more than 150,000 products, with a target of 20,000 alliances in 2025 (Mouvement E.Leclerc, 1 Apr 2025). The way in is the store owner or the regional cooperative.
  • Deadlines: French annual negotiation rules apply, with agreements signed before 1 March (31 January from the 2027 round for suppliers under €350 million). See our France guide.
