How Spar buys
- Central buying in St. Gallen: SPAR Management AG, one of the group's three operating companies next to SPAR Handels AG and TopCC AG, provides central services, purchasing included, to Spar and TopCC (spar.ch; job ad, 29 Sep 2026). Purchasing, marketing, logistics and IT sit together at the St. Gallen head office, which also supplies all Spar stores (spar.ch).
- Buyer roles: operational buyers manage assigned product areas, orders, promotion volumes and master data, working with assortment management (same job ad).
- Franchise model: most stores are run by independent Swiss franchisees, who are supplied from St. Gallen (spar.ch; Spar franchising).
- New owners: Tannenwald Holding plans to strengthen fresh and regional products (Bilanz, 21 Nov 2025).

Getting listed at Spar
Spar publishes no supplier page or portal that we could find. Contact central purchasing in St. Gallen, where SPAR Management AG provides central services, purchasing included, to both the Spar stores and TopCC. spar.ch lists Stefan Eberhard as Geschäftsleiter Marketing & Einkauf (head of marketing and purchasing). Spar says most of its products come from selected producers in the local area and highlights regional partners such as dairies and cheese makers (spar.ch).
