How Lidl Germany buys

  • Where: Lidl Dienstleistung GmbH & Co. KG in Bad Wimpfen (Lidl, 17 Nov 2025); Lidl International's purchasing board holds its strategic supplier dialogue at Lidl's Neckarsulm site (Lidl, 31 May 2023).
  • Own labels first: Lidl calls its own-label suppliers "a central part of our core business" (Lidl, 31 May 2023). Own labels are about 75% of its range (ZDFheute, 15 Sep 2026).
  • German origin: over the year more than 1,000 items come from German production (Lidl, 17 Nov 2025).
  • With Kaufland: in 2021 Lidl and Kaufland began pooling the sourcing of non-food own labels in Asia (Lebensmittel Zeitung, 1 Jul 2021). Kaufland already sold Lidl's tool brand Parkside; from 2026 it adds Lidl's other non-food brands, starting with Silvercrest and Crivit and followed by Livarno, Esmara and Lupilu (echo24, 14 Apr 2026).

Getting listed at Lidl Germany

  • Contact: the "Für Lieferanten" section of Lidl's contact page links to a supplier contact form (Lidl contact; form). There is no separate "become a supplier" page that we could find.
  • Standards: suppliers are bound by Lidl's Code of Conduct and its due-diligence principles for buying goods. Lidl publishes the main suppliers of its own-label range (Lidl, fair trade).
