Numeric distribution

The share of stores in a market that sell your product. If 60 of 100 stores sell it, numeric distribution is 60% (NielsenIQ).

Why it matters

It shows how many shoppers can find your product at all. It treats a small kiosk and a hypermarket the same, so always read it next to weighted distribution.

How to calculate

Stores selling the product ÷ total stores in the market × 100.
